Hello all,
Obviously I'm new to this forum, but not new to internet forums (I'm a moderator on an automotive forum). Anyways, I had an appendectomy two weeks ago, and I just had my stitch removed three days ago. I've been pain free basically since a week after the surgery...only slight pain when I sneeze, or use my core in the wrong way. My incision site looks like a very minor scrape, and my stomach looks perfectly normal. However, I have a hard lump under my incision site that I thought was a hernia from some sneezing and spasms a few nights after the surgery. My surgeon who took the stitch out says it's probably a hematoma (she poked around and revealed that it's not just one small ball-like lump under the incision, but it's bigger and kind of all over the surgery site in a 2.5" radius or so...but appears as a hard ball like shape in localized reasons where I poke around). She explained that it should absorb back into my body within the next month. My question is...how can I tell if I'm doing better or worse? It definitely has NOT shrunk in size, but I can't really say if it has become larger. It pushes out on my incision a bit, and I can see it sticking out a bit over half my incision. What kind of symptoms should alarm me? At what point should I be notifying my surgeon that it isn't receding normally? Hopefully it will become noticeably smaller within the next week or so, and I won't have these questions. Anyways, thanks in advance for any comments, questions, suggestions. -J.T. |

Well, I can happily announce that my Hematoma has GREATLY reduced in size
![]() I walked 18 holes today with my bag on my back. My "appendix" kinda stung when I was walking for like 3 holes on the back nine, but it went away. However, the 1 month layoff from golf proved to be disastrous lol. On a course where I almost always shoot in the mid 70s, I shot a lovely 91 today haha. Oh well, just gotta get back into the "swing" of things. |

Would it have been even remotely possible for the Soviets to absorb Poland and create a Polish SSR after WW2? Im already thinking its unlikely but I would like to see what some people think.

It makes me feel so... accomplished when that happens. I dont know why, but it just feels good. Its probably happened more than once, but I know of at least once. I even have a few released bred dragons named after me Theres something that tends to make my day.

This is the truth, people have a long gap after gpvts before settling. During this time they have to depend on locums which is tricky. Whereas hospital jobs are always better because of trust posts.
