Question About Recovery 1 Week After Surgery

I just had a laparoscopic appendectomy last Wednesday (5 days ago) and am slowly regaining strength and feeling less pain. I've tried to take it easy but I've found that I tire very easily and often feel light headed and need to sit down/lay down. My fiance and I have planned a trip to interview at a graduate school which is over 10 hours away. Prior to my emergency surgery, we were planning to drive and leave 1 week from today (which is the only time we can go).
My question is should I still plan to go on this trip?
Right now riding in a car is uncomfortable on windy and bumpy roads but the majority of this trip would be on highways and my fiance would be driving. I am currently off the prescribed pain medications and able to use ibuprofen for pain.
Are there any warnings for taking long car trips post surgery? Thanks so much!!

Depending on which game it is, a quad core should be able to handle both of those apps simultaneously, however I dont think you can assign cores to a particular process or program.

Are you planning on going dual monitor and gaming while watching movies in the background. Sounds like a good idea, but that is what I use the TV for.

The OS should shuffle that single threaded app to various CPUs if its worth it.
I can load up super_pi and watch ubuntu shuffle it between cores when it feels like it.

The program itself has no idea, but the OS does.
Maybe windows isnt as good at it, i dont know.

You can, but the OS will probably do it load balancing a lot better than you. Managing CPU affinity yourself will most likely just slow things down.

The load balancing code is one of the most important parts of the OS. Probably written by a few PhDs.
