Question appendectomy and monthly period

I had my appendix removed on the 1st of febuary my period was due today(12th) and I didnt get it. Could that have anything to do with the Appendectomy? Me and my hubby have been trying to conceive our second child for awhile now. The day I had the Appendectomy the dr gave me a pregnancy test, which came out negative. So Im assuming the delay in my period is from the appendix being removed. Anyone have any information that could help me out here.

Strees, and surgery counts as stress, can cause one to skip a period or two.

Default Minor vaginal discharge/bleeding after 2 weeks of Lap Appendectomy

Is it normal to have minor vaginal discharge/bleeding after 2 weeks of Lap Appendectomy?

My period came on time (a week after surgery) but it lasted for only 2-3 days opposed to a week. My incisions seem to be healing fine (no signs of infection).

Could this vaginal discharge be a result of stress?

More likely the result of the abnormal period post op, so I suppose you could link the two. However, I'd be inclined to address the dischage as a seperate issue, especially if persists.

jennayas.mommy:

Surgery does really strange things. My period actually came two weeks early after mine appendix was removed. I was in the hospital for 18 days due to massive complications, and about one week after my surgery, I got some minor bleeding in my urine. I panicked, thinking another complication had come up. The nurses were a bit panicked as well, due to the massive stuff that had happened to me. A day later, a pelvic exam showed it was my period. I was like "No way! I had it ten days ago!" But all the docs, even the interns, assured me it was. After that (this was nine months ago), my period has been all over the place. I was TOTALLY regular before, now, not so much.

Default appendectomy and monthly period

Im 17 and just started my period about 6 months ago. My doctor put me on birth cotrol Yazmin to regulate it and control my testostorone levels. But after I was on it for maybe 2 months, I started having blood clots in my menstral bleeding. They are fairly decent size around the size of a quarter, but i didnt think much of it because I didnt know if it was normal or not.

Well, last time i was on my period I removed my tampon and a blood clot followed it that was bigger than the tampon...that got me worried.
I have yet to see a doctor, and this is the first time Ive had my period since then...It hasnt happened again, yet.

Is this something I should be really worried about?
Do I need to talk to my doctor before it happens again?
Or should I wait to see if it actually persists?

Depending on the person, the recovery time varies, but the recovery time due is 4 to 6 weeks. Though it may take longer for patients who have had a ruptured appendix.

Default appendectomy and monthly period

Id think that the state that would conquer all of China in Qins place would almost certainly be Chu. IIRC it was the largest, and it was certainly the toughest fight for the Qin. But as for what a China dominated by the Chu would look like, I do not know.
