Unhappy Anyone else have horrible Appy experience?

At 29 yrs old On October 5, 2007 I was at work when I developed extreme right abdominal pain...thankfully I work in a hospital. Went to emerg and diagnosis was made within an hour that i had acute appendicitis and I was whisked off to surgery. Had open appy done, doctor told me after surgery he thought I was full of bowel cancer when he opened me up, happily pathology came back negative for that. Anyway, I went on to stay in the hospital for 4 weeks due to developing pancolitis & clostridium difficile. I was on Dilaudid for pain, 24 hour IV hydration and antibiotics and no food that whole time...20lb weight loss. I was very healthy before all this happened and I haven't heard of anyone else who suffered like this from having an appy done. I am back to being healthy again, just left with an ugly keloid scar at site of surgery. Any one else go through something similar?

I imagine you have read through the posts here and in the archives by now. Suffice to say many have had ordeals like yours or worse. We don't hear much about the standard results; it is those that have post op complications who end up here looking for help, advice or support of some kind.

Welcome to the club as it were

just a question about the books.
are they written after the movie and they are based on the movie... or they were written before and the movie was based on them. the difference is that a movie based on a good book can be a good movie or a crap movie.
a book based on a movie will be a crap book.

and i found that the movie NW,DW.. was... well i didnt like it.

Default my experience

My appy itself wasn't bad, even though it ended up being open, but I found out I have a form of appendix cancer. I had part of my colon removed during the appy. Now I am waiting to see if I have to have further surgery.

Absolutely. I bought my first XM radio the weekend before O&A started on XM. The music channels work well for parties, and I like Underground garage. But if O&A ended, Id end my subscription.
